About me ... Cindy Donald

"I do not want another person to fall through the cracks due to a 'difference'. If we identify how we can meet each person's individual needs, we can still focus on outcomes by understanding that each person's path may look different."
I am passionate about working with parents and educators in implementing strategies to assist in managing challenging behaviours, using various frameworks, including Dr Ross Greene's Collaborative and Proactive Solutions. I believe children are not unmotivated; they may not have the skills to meet our expectations. By understanding this and implementing strategies, we can give children the best opportunity to flourish.
I am a NeurOptimal Neurofeedback practitioner using neurofeedback training to enhance your brain's ability to help itself. Research has shown us that it can positively benefit those experiencing anxiety, depression, and a myriad of other conditions.
As a training and development specialist, facilitator and business coach, I have been successfully inspiring and bringing out the best in people for over 20 years. I am passionate about developing people and have the skills and experience to make a true impact through facilitation, counselling and coaching.
I learned about neurofeedback training using Neuroptimal, after my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD in 2007 and struggled with the medication and its side-effects. I searched for a non-invasive alternative method of helping her and through lots of reading discovered Neuroptimal. I believe we don’t give our brain as much love as we should and considering it is our body’s driver we really should prioritise it! Knowing how it helped Kate and knowing I could help others prompted me to become a Neuroptimal trainer.
I have been surrounded by strong, honest and hard-working people throughout my life, so I wanted the name of my company to reflect the many people who have impacted my life. The name Tildon Training is a blending of my maiden name Till and my married name Donald. It pays homage to my parents name Till, of which I is one of the last on her father’s side. It also imitates the name of my in-laws farm in Zimbabwe, Yeadon, which was a blend of their names, Yates and Donald.
I am all about helping people to take a minute to step back, learn some new skills and strategies, in order to grow themselves and those around them.
I hold a Graduate Diploma in Counselling, a Bachelor of Training and Development, a Diploma of Management and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. I am a Belbin’s Team Roles Accredited Facilitator and a Neuroptimal Certified Basic Trainer. I am currently studying towards a Masters of Counselling and am a Member and Registered Counsellor of the Australian Counselling Association.
